you’re not likely to notice. That’s because it’s her job to think about the things most people take for granted, and then make them happen… flawlessly and within budget.
For over 25 years, Karen Peterson has been finding the meeting space, making the arrangements, negotiating the contracts, and even running the show for conventions, events and incentives with attendance from 50 to 7,500.
On any given day, Karen might find herself dealing with hotel rooms, incentive trips, convention centers, VIP meetings, travel arrangements, menus, contracts, registration, catering and venues, to name only a few of areas she’s used to managing.
And while the beneficiaries of her efforts may not notice how smoothly everything is going, her professional colleagues do. Her list of honors includes being named both Planner of the Year and Manager of the Year by the Orlando chapter of Meeting Planners International, an organization she also served as president.
As Manager of Travel & Events for Tupperware, Karen became accustomed to managing multi-million dollar budgets and complicated projects. Comfortable working independently or within a group, she is also a confident and persuasive presenter of proposals, plans and presentations.
Bottom line — if your company’s plans include travel, events or incentives, Karen Peterson is the one who can make it all happen … the thoughtful way … the cost-efficient way … the right way.
Approximately three months before our first annual convention we hired Karen Peterson to help us plan and run our event. My only chagrin is that we did not hire Karen sooner. From the moment we first met, she began to demonstrate her value. She is very experienced in all aspects of running an event beginning with understanding and negotiating contracts to helping arrange for sound and lighting to providing suggestions as to the flow of the agenda to managing the activities during the event itself. Without being pretentious, Karen took over every aspect and we found her to be invaluable. We have hired Karen to support us for our second annual convention later this year and we expect to make her a part of our plans for the years to come.
